What is in the Course?

Week 1

Rethinking the "Mind and Body" paradigm


In this course, I challenge you to look at yourself through a different paradigm than the traditional "mind and body." Instead we focus on how we are all one single organism and we experience ourselves in two ways - consciously and unconsciously. The first week is focused on learning how to become aware of this new way of self-experience. We do this by learning the 5 Tenets of The Language of Breath and The Awareness Exercise. I will take you through the guided tracks to help you develop a feeling of awareness of your unconscious self, so you aren't just guessing.

Week 2

Learning how to use inflection and tone when speaking to your unconscious self


This section takes a look at how breathing is full of complexity. There are lots of variables in every breath, and HOW we take each breath is comparable to HOW we speak words - there is a difference between saying "I love you," with one tone and inflection versus screaming it! The meaning changes based on the tone and inflection, and in week 2 we focus on HOW your breathing does this and how to use the tone and inflection you truly wish to use so that your unconscious self will get the right message. There are guided sessions and techniques. 

Week 3

The Rosetta Stone of your conscious and unconscious selves


In this week, we learn about the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and how we can use what we know about the ANS as a cipher to translate the messages from our unconscious self and to encode our own messages using breathing. There are lots of techniques this week! By this point you're becoming pretty fluent in the basics of The Language of Breath.

Week 4

The role of carbon dioxide tolerance in building a positive relationship between your conscious and unconscious selves


In this section, you learn all about the biological role of carbon dioxide (CO2) in respiration and how your physiological response to CO2 can be adapted. We do lots of techniques and guided sessions during this week to ensure you are fully equipped to have a healthy relationship with CO2, strengthening your relationship with your unconscious self.

Week 5

The role of superventilation, hypoxia, and hypocapnia in developing a stronger relationship between the conscious and unconscious selves


In this section, we cover circular breathing, what is happening biologically, and how the use of these kinds of techniques can be used in conjunction with CO2 tolerance techniques for maximizing the effects of the two styles. Again this section is complete with guided sessions and technical guidance.

Week 6

The Listening Exercise


In this week, I will teach you perhaps my crowning achievement, The Listening Exercise. This is a technique that directly connects your conscious self and your unconscious self to create the strongest connection. In this section I teach you about the evolutionary function of emotions and how they manifest themselves physically. Using The Listening Exercise, you are able to safely and effectively connect with what your unconscious self is trying to tell you about whatever you choose to ask it about. This is a powerful way to deal with emotional blocks and traumas. In this section, I teach you the technique and there is a long guided session for you to use through the week.

Week 7
& Beyond...

The course ends with guidance on how to use breathwork throughout your changing life, with a full understanding that life is not a static thing. It will constantly change, and as it does we have to be willing to change too. Developing a positive relationship with our unconscious self is a lifelong journey, but it is worth it! The healthiest self is a team, and building that team is the goal of the course.
